In Gotas De Dios,

When the earth speaks and the spirit listens.

We believe that a good tradition is not only honored: it is shared. When the vinatas were extinguished and the wild agave began to disappear, the team behind Gotas de Dios—inspired by the goddess Mayahuel and guided by a deep respect for the earth—decided to rekindle the ancestral fire.

Thus began a path of restoration, dedication, and awareness, to transform mezcal into a living legacy that deserved to be shared with the world. Thus was born Mezcal Gotas de Dios, a sacred work divided into three essential moments of the day.

Living Tradition

“Maintaining traditions and sharing them with the world keeps the soul of a people alive.”

Don Lupe, Mtro. Mezcalero

Don Lupe Pérez has dedicated more than two decades to distilling the essence of Michoacán, mastering techniques such as mezcal burial that transform the mezcal with the embrace of the earth and time.

A pioneer, guardian, and promoter of mezcal in Michoacán since its inception, he was a key figure leading the authorization of the Denomination of Origin for the state.

Don Lupe doesn’t just make mezcal, he conjures it: his legacy is drunk in every drop and is a direct bridge to our origins.

Spirit of Fire

“Mezcal is not drunk, it is lived: drop by drop, fire and soul in every sip.”

Three moments, a single spirit

Each mezcal is an instant suspended in time, a connection between the earth and the soul. From harvest to distillation, each step vibrates to the rhythm of harmonic frequencies and ancestral sounds such as the didgeridoo, impregnating each drop with living energy.

  • Sacred Beginning (blanco mezcal): the pure dawn, where light is born and the senses awaken.
  • Ritual of Change (double breast): the sunset that embraces transformation, when the day is tinged with memories.
  • Deep Silence (aged in glass underground): the night that holds secrets, where time rests and the spirit stills.

It is not just mezcal; it is the fruit of hands that carefully select the perfect agave, harvest it with respect, and treat it with positive energy so that its flavor is unique, like the day you decide to open the bottle. It is the experience of our master mezcaleros and the effort of a team that transforms the work of nature into a legacy that you can taste.
